Port Blair, Jan 12: ABVP Andaman celebrated the auspicious occasion of the 159th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda as National Youth Day. A tribute ceremony was conducted by ABVP at JNRM Swami Vivekananda statue. Swami Prarthnananda, (Secretary Ramakrishna mission, Port Blair) was the chief guest on the occasion.
Dr. Santosh Kumar Jha (President, ABVP ANI) in his speech highlighted the ideas of Swami Vivekananda on youth & Nation Building. Swami Prarthanananda discussed the spiritual side of Swami Vivekananda in his keynote speech.
Students from local colleges joined the program. However a limited number of people gathered due to pandemic situations & restrictions. All the COVID-19 protocols were followed during the programme.
