Port Blair, Jan 12: Mr Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP, Former State President, BJP-ANI & Home Ministry Advisory Committee, GoI has requested for granting age relaxation for at least 03 years, to all aspiring candidates for all govt jobs, considering the pandemic through his letter addressed to Lt. Governor, ANI & Chief Secretary, A & N Administration.
In the letter, he stated that presently, Nation witnessing the third wave of the pandemic and considering this situation, even the Hon’ble Supreme Court had granted and time to time extended the limitation for filing of cases, preferring appeals etc, purely considering the pandemic.
He said that many State Governments are also considering the age relaxation. The administration may also take a decision to relax the age of all aspiring candidates by raising the upper age limit for at least 03 years for all government services under the UT Administration. If such a decision is taken, the same would certainly benefit large number of young aspirants seeking employment. Mr. Jolly requested to take appropriate steps and relax the age by raising the upper age limit for all government services for at least 03 years while filling up of all 9000(approx) vacant posts, at the earliest considering the third wave of the pandemic.
