Port Blair, Jan 04: 50 School students of Campbell Bay, Great Nicobar Islands of 15-18 age groups got vaccinated with Covishield vaccine today at PHC Campbell Bay.
As per information received the vaccination camp was organized by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Johnson Sameer and Dr. Ambedkar of PHC Campbell Bay. Around 389 school students’ list was received by CMO who come under 15-18 age group. Later 50 slots were booked from Port Blair for these students in which all 50 students got their first dose of vaccine at PHC Campbell Bay.
After the vaccination of students were kept under observation for half an hour. Tomorrow again another 50 students will be vaccinated with their first dose. The bus facility was arranged by Assistant Commissioner Mr. Aditya Kumar Asthana for this vaccination camp and the principal sent the students from the school side, it is learnt.
As per the source the medical team is planning to start vaccination camp in the schools after they get approval from the competent authorities so that the maximum number of students can be covered.
