Port Blair, Jan 04: To curb the spread of COVID positive cases in A&N Islands for the safety of the people the District Administration has imposed Night Curfew from 09 PM to 5 AM. In view of this, this Directorate has decided to curtail the existing passenger/Vehicle ferry service between Chatham – Bambooflat, Chatham- Dundus Point, Phoenix Bay – Bambooflat/Panighat during night hours. The last passenger/vehicle ferry service will be available for commuters during night hours in the above routes as under:-
1. Route No. I – Chatham to Dundus Point.

The above schedule will come in force with effect from 4th January, 2022.
It is, further, advised to all the passengers to adhere to the following measures while travelling on board
• Vessels operating in the Harbour Sector and Foreshore Sector (Swaraj Dweep & Shaheed Dweep) shall carry only 70% of its carrying capacity with staggered seating arrangement thereby following safe social distancing.
• Passengers shall maintain orderly embarkation and disembarkation and avoid congregation on board vessels and maintain social distancing.
• All passengers shall compulsorily wear face mask and carry sanitizers at all times.
• Consumption of liquor, paan, ghutka, tobacco etc on board vessel and spiting is strictly prohibited.
• Avoid congregation and maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
