Port Blair, Dec 30: Mr Vishal Jolly National Executive Member BJP, Former State President, BJP-A&N islands & Member Home Ministry Advisory Committee, GoI, met the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration to put forth the grievances raised by the people of Middle Andaman during his recent visit to Middle Andaman. On behalf of the people in the region, he demanded immediate posting of Gynaecologist and a General Surgeon at Mayabunder District Hospital, strengthening the Rangat Primary Health Centre by providing medical facilities and strengthening the doctor’s team, speed up the construction work of NH on ATR for seamless road connectivity and boat service from Rangat to Swaraj Dweep via Shaheed Dweep and vice versa thrice a week.
The boat service was in place on pre-covid time and now the service is not operational from long back which is causing immense pain and suffering to the large section of the population hailing from Middle Andaman and they are also forced to travel to Port Blair for availing their boat journey by wasting huge amount of time and money.
Mr Jolly explained the difficulties faced by the people of North & Middle Andaman during the meeting and the Chief Secretary readily accepted all the grievances and assured that positive steps will be taken to resolve all the issues immediately.
