Port Blair, Dec 29: The District Congress Committee President Mr. V.K Abdul Aziz has requested the Secretary (Transport) to start one pollution testing centre at Bambooflat.
In a letter to Secretary (Transport), Mr. Aziz highlighted the difficulty faced by residents of Bambooflat in coming at Port Blair for conducting “Pollution Under Control Test”. He mentioned that it is very time consuming process and is not possible to complete in one day.
He added that, bringing vehicles from Bambooflat to Port Blair through vehicle ferry just for getting a PUC certificate will cause hardship for the residents of Bambooflat.
Hence, he requested the Secretary (Transport) to start one pollution testing centre at Bambooflat.
