Port Blair, Dec 28: Keeping in view of the present security scenario and emerging threats to CIVIL AVIATION Security across the country, CISF Unit VSI AIRPORT PORT BLAIR conducted a multi agency mock exercise on the scenario of Armed Attack from external point of the Airport perimeter with unlawful seizure and sabotage of vital insatallation as part of counter terrorist contingency plan 2021.
The exercise was led by Sh. Rajinder Singh, Dy. Commandant / CASO, with active Participation of teams from INDIAN ARMY, INDIAN NAVY, (A & N) Police, AAI, Airlines, Coast Guard, (A&N) Fire and Medical Services etc.
The whole idea behind the excercise was to assess and fine tune the level of coordination between multiple agencies involved in anti-terror operations and ensure high level of operational preparedness to effectively deal with any contingencies posed by anti-national elements in real scenario.
