Port Blair, Dec 27: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Mr. Rangalal Halder has demanded the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman Mr. Suneel Anchipaka to allow sailing of boats from Port Blair to Little Andaman atleast twice in a week.
In a letter to the DC, Mr. Halder highlighted the plight of Little Andaman residents and mentioned that the boats are been sailed only once in every 15 days as of now.
He added that, the lack of transportation facility has caused hindrance to the lives of many residents of Little Andaman as they have to come at Port Blair and return back frequently for many reasons such as education, work and healthcare treatment.
