Port Blair, Dec 24: Nehru Yuva Kendra Rangat in collaboration with Royal Youth Club, Baratang organized Block Level Sports Meet (Football Knockout Tournament) at Forest Ground Baratang from 17th to 23rd December, 2021 in which 14 teams participated. The main objective of the Block Level Sports Meet is to provide opportunity to rural youth to take part in sports meets to exhibit their talent. In the inaugural function of the tournament on Dec 17, Mr RS Sharath, ACF Baratang was the chief guest.
The final match was played between Oralkatcha V/s Khattakhari at Forest Ground Baratang on 23rd December, 2021. Mr Sandeep Divyajyoti Bahra, DFO was chief guest while Mr RS Sharath, ACF Baratang and Mr Narayan, JE APWD were guests of honor. In the Final match Oralkatcha team defeat Kattakhari with 7-0. Trophies and moments were presented to winners and runners along with individual trophies for their performance.
Mr B.Rajessh working president of Royal youth Club Baratang thanks to the dignitaries and extended his heartful thanks to various department including Forest, Medical Police,AC and Patwari for their kind approval and permission for carrying out the tournament in a feasible manner.
