Port Blair, Dec 24: Yesterday, on 23 December morning at 06AM a fire incident was reported in Fire Station Diglipur from one house of Shell Tekry area.
Immediately a fire tender reached the spot and found that fire erupted from a domestic LPG Gas Cylinder, following which the fire service team extinguished the fire with CO2, in no time.
As per source on investigation it was found that cause of fire was gas leakage from the cylinder’s regulator and gas pipe.
Further it is learnt that the family members tried to extinguish the fire by using wet jute bag and wet cloth but were unable to control the fire meanwhile fire tender reached on time and controlled the fire. Further details are awaited. There is no report of any injury in this case.
