Port Blair, Dec 05: The Pradesh Congress Committee A&N Islands under the leadership of Mr. Rangalal Halder, President, PCC and Mr. TSG Bhasker Chairman, Campaign committee performed the final rites of a patient who belongs to Sita Nagar Diglipur. There was no one to perform his funeral ceremony at Port Blair.
Realizing the seriousness of the problem, Mr. Rangalal Halder reached G.B Pant hospital and received the dead body at 10.00 AM along with his team members namely Mr. M.A. Sajid (State President NSUI), Mr. Saji Verghese, Mr. Amir Bux, Mr. Ibrahim Baba, Mr. Abdul Shabir (Congress Leaders), Mr. Anick Das and Mr. Zubair Ali (State General Secretary of NSUI) brought the body to the Shamshan Ghar at Junglighat, where the funeral ceremony was performed around 1 PM.
This act by the Congress Party has shown that the spirit of Humanity is still alive in the Islands. Mr. Rangalal Halder said that the entire congress party is always ready to help islanders no matter whatever be the situation.
