Port Blair, Nov 28: Mr. Sanjay Chowdhury Ex-Vice President of Andaman and Nicobar Pradesh Congress Committee has written a letter to the Lt. Governor, Mr. Chowdhury and informed him that unlike last year this year Islands witnessed continuous rain due to sudden changes in weather conditions including sudden depression and many other natural conditions.
He said that because of untimely rain the farmers have suffered heavy loss due to damage of standing crop. Mr. Sanjay Chowdhury demanded timely assessment of the losses and announcement of a relief package for those farmers, who have suffered due to this continuous rain.
