Port Blair, Nov 25: The ground works for the proposed Chatham- Bambooflat Bridge, which was on halt since last two years, has now resumed, bringing fresh hopes for the Islanders.
The Pre-Bid ground works for the project has resumed and presently a four member team of VKS Infratec is visiting the proposed landing sites related to this project.
Once these ground works are over, the process of floating tender by NHDCL will start, it is learnt.
The team of LOTE (Living on the Edge, an NGO) which has been pursuing this matter in various levels, also accompanied the team of VKS infratec during landing site visit.
