Port Blair, Oct 29: Today early in the morning at around 07:30 AM a large number of local people of Malacca village, Car Nicobar gathered in front of District Commissioner Car Nicobar Office demanding Helicopter Tickets for a Patient.
It was learnt that a patient, Mr. Moses Pastor of Kinyuka Church, who was admitted to BJR Hospital had applied for Helicopter tickets, continuously for the past four days but he did not get the ticket, which left many villagers angry and upset.
As per information received a large number of local people of Malacca village gathered in front of the District Commissioner office where the Assistant Commissioner reportedly met them and assured the villagers Helicopter ticket will be issued immediately. Soon Assistant Commissioner arranged Helicopter ticket for the patient for Port Blair.
When Andaman Sheekha contacted the Assistant Commissioner of Car Nicobar, Mr. Aditya Jha, DANICS, he said that today local villagers demanded a helicopter ticket for Mr. Moses Pastor, who was admitted to BJR Hospital, and immediately he arranged ticket and sent him to Port Blair.
“There is no uncertainty in distribution of tickets. Public allegations are baseless, helicopter tickets are distributed in transparent manner and first preference is always given to medical emergency patients, when medical superintended referrers a patient, he/she will get first preference. Patients are our priority,” he added.
