Port Blair, Oct 27: The Long Island unit of Congress Party today staged a Dharna from 10.30 AM to 12.00 noon at Opposite to Police Outpost, Long Island. The protest was organized to demand immediate action on certain burning issues of Long Island such as resumption of ferry service from Port Blair to Long Island, Uninterrupted local daily ferry service from Long Island to Yerata, Express bus service from Yerata to Port Blair and from Yerata to Mayabunder, resumption of tourism activity in Long Island, restoration of internet service and improvement in mobile connectivity, shortage of teacher at GSSS Long Island and Lab facilities for students.
