Port Blair, Oct 22: A dead body was found from a panchayat well of ‘B’ Quarry area of Campbell Bay on 19 October 2021.
As per details resident of ‘B’ Quarry village spotted the body inside Panchayat Well and reported the matter to the Police. The police team of Great Nicobar recovered the body and shifted to Hospital. The body was later handed over to the family after post mortem.
On investigation it was found that the deceased, a resident of the same village, was missing since 17 October and on 18 October a missing complaint was registered by his family member in police station. It is alleged that the deceased was a habitual drunkard. Police registered a case of unnatural death in this regard, it is learnt.
