Port Blair, Sept 29: Mr. Paritosh Kumar Haldar, Former-Member, A & N Pradesh Council today wrote a letter to the Minister of Shipping and Waterways and demanded inquiry on MV Sindhu’s Technical faults by independent experts.
MV Sindhu, a 500 pax passenger-cum-150 MT Cargo Vessel built indigenously for Andaman and Nicobar Islands by Cochin Shipyard Ltd. developed technical snags during its maiden sailing to Hut Bay port of Little Andaman Island from Port Blair on August 25,2021.
In his letter, copy of which was shared with Andaman Sheekha daily too, Mr. Halder alleged that authorities concerned of SCI are not serious enough while taking over the newly built ship from ship-builders.
Considering wastage of public money he urged the minister to fix responsibility on officials responsible in this case.
