Port Blair, Sep 02: The STS Bus services from Rangat to TV Kullam via Billiground and return, will resume from tomorrow onwards, officials of STS informed Andaman Sheekha today.
It was learnt that the General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party Kisan Morcha (BJPKM) and Hindu Rashtra Shakti (HRS), ANI, Dr. P K Mandal had a conversation with Mr. Jayanta Adhikari, AE, STS, Rangat unit regarding grievances of the student community. Highlighting the problems of students, Dr. P K Mandal said that since the Pandemic the said service was suspended as a measure to stop the spread of COVID-19 infection.
He pointed out that as schools are now opened because of low COVID-19 cases in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, now students are facing hard time in reaching their respective schools. “Not only students, even general public also facing difficulty in absence of the bus service,” he added.
Mr. Adhikari, AE, STS, Rangat unit reportedly assured him that from tomorrow STS Bus services will be resumed from Rangat to TV Kullam via Billiground and vice-versa and bus service from Uttara to Mayabunder shall be also resumed shortly.
