Port Blair, Aug 27: Movement of people for prayers from home to places of worship has been allowed beyond 10.00 PM of 30th August to 01:00 AM of 31st August 2021 on the occasion of Janmashtami.
In an order issued by the District Magistrate of South Andaman, Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, mentioned that on the occasion of “Janmashtami” falling on Monday the 30th of August 2021, the movement of people for prayers from home to place of worship is allowed by the Administration beyond 10:00 PM of 30th August to 01:00 AM of 31st August 2021.
All the places of worship should ensure the compliance of SOPs for Religious places/ places of worship for public as issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
It should however be ensured that the National Directives for COVID- 19 management and the guidelines issued by the District Administration should be complied by all.
