Port Blair, Aug 10: Mr. S. Balaji, District General Secretary, BJP has written a letter regarding repairing of roads leading to Govt. Middle School, Dignabad from Marine Gate and Mohanpura Market.
In his letter addressed to the Secretary PBMC, the District General Secretary Mr. Balaji mentioned about the pathetic condition of the road leading to Govt. Middle School, Dignabad from Marine Gate and the road of Mohanpura Market area.
He said that the road between Marine Gate to Dignabad School is always found to be busy, as this road is the shortest route for many commuters including the residents of Dignabad and Round Basti.
Thousands of people from various other areas also use this road for going to Fish Landing Centre, Dignabad as well as G.B.Pant Hospital and Atlanta Point. Whereas, the present state of the said road is in pathetic condition and may invite accidents in future.
“Same is the condition of the road of Mohanpura Market. Thousands of Sellers and buyers visit this area in a day. The pathetic condition of the road near the market creates displeasure among the users of the markets viz. buyers and sellers as well as unhygienic condition during rainy days. This market is located in the heart of the city and is one of the busiest places in city,” the District General Secretary added.
