Port Blair, July 22: ABVP Andaman & Nicobar unit requested Pondicherry University to comply with recent UGC guidelines, through a letter addressed to Vice-Chancellor and Secretary Education. ABVP ANI highlighted various problems in A&N islands with regard to transportation and movement of students from different district to examination centers. As partial restrictions are still in place in A & N Islands in the view of COVID-19 Pandemic precautions.
Further, ABVP urged the University to comply with recent UGC guidelines in which it is stated that students who were in intermediate semester assessment shall be based on internal evaluation and previous semester marks. Further ABVP also suggested cutting down syllabus of final year students for convenience and welfare of students as per UGC guidelines dated 16th July, 2021.
