Port Blair, July 12: A 53 year old resident of Medical Pahar, Bambooflat was hit by a STS bus this afternoon, which resulted in his death.
According to reports Mr. Raja Rao, the victim, an employee of Forest Department was going towards his house at around 1.30 PM when a STS bus hit him. The accident took place infront of Good Luck Bakery, Bambooflat.
Immediately people nearby, rushed him to Bambooflat PHC, where doctors declared him brought dead.
As per details the driver of the STS bus was arrested and further investigations are on. Postmortem of the body will be carried out tomorrow, it is learnt.
