Port Blair, June 18: COVID-19 prevention and vaccine safety programme was organised by Hindu Rashtra Shakti at Garacharma, Bathu Basti and others area of South Andaman District. The Hindu Rashtra Shakti, Non-Governmental Organisations have taken up campaigns to create awareness among the public on the importance of using sanitisers, wearing masks and maintaining physical distance to protect oneself from coronavirus.
The HRS has distributed around 1,000 masks and sanitisers in Garacharma, Bathubasti and other areas. “We have been distributing free ration kit to poor family” said Mr. Angshuman Roy, State General Secretary (Youth)
Mr. Rakeshwar Lall, State President has been distributing masks to people from all walks of life. Mr. Rakeshwar Lall said they were making people understand that wearing a mask in public places was compulsory in view of the increasing COVID-19 cases in the Islands.
Mr. Sanjay Kumar is presently guiding people, how to register in www.cocowin.gov.in portal. He is also helping people who have no access to smart-phones and internet or don’t know how to use the booking app or portal, through his mobile.
