
Port Blair, Jun 08: At the time when people fear treading outdoors, a group of youths led by Mr. Sudeep Rai Sharma (Taiyya bhai) has volunteered to sanitize the high-risk zones across the city, terming it as their “duty”. The work was started by Mr. Sharma & his friends a year ago to break the chain of Coronavirus infection and is still continuing.
Mr. Sharma has always been seen working on multiple fronts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and helping people sequestered due to lockdown. During last year lockdown, he & his team has helped out thousands of needy people by providing ration kits, LPG cylinders, water, cremating unclaimed COVID dead bodies and so on.
Amidst the second wave lockdown Mr. Sharma has completed sanitization in entire Ward no. 13of Junglighat Masjid, Supply Line, Radha Krishna Mandir & Government vet nary hospital. Now the sanitization drive is been carried out in Ward no. 9. Mr. Sharma claimed that the anti-virus spray is effective against all kinds of virus. This will also disinfect the region against routine vectors and pathogens.
“The current circumstances are challenging. I strongly feel that it is my duty to help the people around me in the best way possible. My team will continue the work of sanitizing each and every municipal/ Panchayat wards, religious places, police stations and other such offices till our Islands achieves ‘Zero’ COVID case.
