Port Blair, May 13: The North and Middle Andaman Administration has taken an initiative that those beneficiaries who are under home quarantine they should register their grievance in the respective control room and then the staff engaged in the control room shall instantly deliver (Public Distribution System) items at door step. While registering grievances the beneficiary must provide following details: Aadhar card number, Name, Address, Ration card number, No. of units in ration card separately child and adult as mention in ration card and Phone number. PDS items has been issued for two months (May and June)
The Civil Supply officer of North and Middle Andaman Mr. Linu Nair said that since, biometric is mandatory hence it is requested that once the period of quarantine is over the beneficiary should update their biometric in respective hand held terminal machine of Fair Price Shop dealers. However in case any person is quarantined in the month of June and he/she is unable to update biometric on or before 30th June then the department will consider it as offline issue.
