Port Blair, May 11: A truck accident was reported in Police station Baratang yesterday from forest nursery area close to Gandhi Ghat Jetty in which two people, the driver of the truck and one passenger sustained minor injuries.
As per information received, the truck was carrying Electricity Department’s cargo and was coming from Diglipur towards Port Blair, where one Electricity Department Employee namely Mr. Anupan, 29 Years old, was also traveling to Port Blair with proper permission from District Commissioner of North and Middle Andaman.
As per reports while travelling towards Lorozig Forest Nursery the truck met with an accident and overturned on road, due to some mechanical failures. Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.
