Port Blair, May 09: Acting on credible information from reliable sources, two youths namely Saurav Biswas r/o Billiground and Hrithik Lall r/o Sippighat were intercepted at ‘Delhivery’ Courier Office, Nayagaon on 29.04.2021. They had come to receive their parcel from the delivery centre. While collecting parcels (Carton boxes) they were apprehended by the police raiding team during search of the carton boxes, it was found containing 3.750 kgs. Ganja clandestinely concealed with cosmetics products & sarees. They were arrested on the spot.
During interrogation, the arrested accused revealed the names of the other persons involved in drug peddling chain. On their statements and technical inputs, another accused Probir Biswas r/o Billiground was arrested from Billiground on 05/05/2021 and Nabin Biswas r/o Collinpur was arrested on 07/05/2021 from Collinpur, Port Blair.
