Port Blair, May 04: Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, Deputy Commissioner (SA) along with SDM(SA), AC(HQ), AC(S), AC(Legal) and AC(U/T) inspected the vaccination drive, field surveillance, door to door delivery of medicine and functioning of COVID-19 management in the Primary Health Centre at Manglutan.
He further interacted with the Medical Officer of the PHC and inquired about the status of vaccination, ILI/SARI cases, home quarantine, surveillance by field staff, ASHA and ANM workers in their respective areas. He further directed them to complete 100% vaccination of all persons above 45 in their area while following strict guidelines issued by GOI.
The officers also made a visit and inspected the Institutional quarantine facility at DBRAIT, Dollygunj and interacted with the medical officials and enquired about the welfare of the patients of the Centre.
The DC(SA) ardently appealed to all citizens to kindly report any symptoms and any other queries to the nearest PHCs/CHCs or District Control Room numbers 1077/238881/240127 or in whatsapp number +919531888844 for necessary guidelines and further action.
The DC(SA) further reiterated that the five-fold strategy of Testing, Tracing, Treatment, COVID appropriate behaviour and vaccination will be meticulously implemented in South Andaman and also sought the cooperation of general public in its fight against the pandemic.
