Port Blair, Apr 11: A dead body was found on 10th April from Burma Dera village near forest creek area of Mayabunder.
It was learnt that the villagers saw the decomposed woman’s body and reported the matter to Mayabunder police. The police team identified the deceased as Mrs. Milrate Kerketta, 53 year old, a resident of Kalapahad.
As per sources Mrs. Milrate Kerketta was missing from March last week where the lady had gone to Burma Dera village for selling vegetables. The body was shifted to RP Hospital, Mayabunder and was handed over to the family of the deceased women, it was learnt. Police team is conducting further inquiry in this matter.
