Baratang, Apr 05: The South Creek area remained cut off from rest of the world since last three days. According to residents of the area the BSNL networks vanished on 2nd April 2021 and till today the fault has not been rectified by BSNL, despite complaints.
The South Creek area always suffers such mobile network blackout due to poor service of BSNL but sadly even top authorities are silent in this regard.
“Students are unable to study online, day to day office works are hampered, even no one can make an emergency call as there is no BSNL network in this area,” complained a resident of South Creek.
Most importantly the lone hospital of the region PHC Baratang is also situated at South Creek and patients are unable to contact their relatives from the PHC.
Resident of the area requested the Deputy Commissioner of North and Middle Andaman to pay a surprise visit to South Creek area to see how poorly telecom equipments are maintained in the area, which is the reason behind such poor network.
