Port Blair, Mar 30: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted thunderstorm, lightning and heavy rain in various parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in next four days.
Tuesday 30 Mar (DAY-1) 1) Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied by gusty wind with speed reaching 40 to 50 Kmph likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands. 2) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Nicobar Islands.
Wednesday 31 Mar (DAY-2) 1) Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied by gusty wind with speed reaching 40 to 50 Kmph likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands. 2) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman Islands. 3) Heavy to very heavy rain (7-20cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Nicobar Islands.

Tuesday 30 Mar(Day-1) In anticipation of formation of low pressure area over South East Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood and its likely intensification, squally weather with wind speed exceeding 45kmph is very likely from 30th March over Andaman sea, fishermen are advised not to venture into sea along and off Andaman coast from 30th March to 3rd April 2021.
