Port Blair, Mar 30: Five youths including one lady have been arrested by PS Aberdeen under SC/ST Act for allegedly abusing and attacking members of Great Andamanese Tribes.
According to reports the incident took place inside the campus of a local hotel, from where a few members of Great Andamanese Tribes were coming out after attending marriage party of a friend on 28 March 2021 late evening.
While coming out these five accused reportedly hurled abuses, man handled and misbehaved with the Great Andamanese Tribes and when matter was reported to police the accused people, while escaping in a car, reportedly tried to hit one Tribal youth. Some of the accused were reportedly under influence of alcohol.
As per details all five accused were arrested and were later sent to Judicial Custody by court.
