Port Blair, Feb 01: The residents of Shaheed Dweep have lauded Andaman and Nicobar Police Department, especially, the team of PS Shaheed Dweep for their dedicated efforts to trace out a senior citizen, who was missing since last five days.
As per details Mr. Suren Das, 64yrs a resident of Ram Nagar, Shaheed Dweep, who is mentally disturbed, had returned to Shaheed Dweep from Port Blair on 27 January 2021.
Since 28 January however Mr. Suren Das went missing since early morning.
Following complaints, the Police team of Shaheed Dweep made several teams involving local villagers and started a massive search operation but got no success.
Today on 01.02.2021 one such team, while conducting jungle search, found the missing person lying on the ground inside Ram Nagar Jungle, nearly unconscious and barely breathing on which he was immediately taken to PHC Shaheed Dweep and necessary medical help was provided.
The villagers appreciated the sheer dedication and sincere efforts of local police and villager who in such adverse conditions, were able to trace out Mr.Suren Das, who remained missing for five long days.
