Port Blair, Jan 13: The NGO ‘Seeds of Hope’ has issued certificate of appreciation for Andaman’s kind hearted girl, Betty Susan Jacob for her generous hair donation for the cancer patients.
On October 2020, the eleven year old girl, Betty had donated her hair for the third time in a row, which made her youngest hair donor to have donated hair three times.
It was first at the age of four that Betty donated her hair for the first time to Cancer Institute, Adiyar, which was followed by hair donation at the age of 7 years to Madat Foundation. Betty was expecting to donate early this year but due to Corona Virus Pandemic, things had got delayed. Finally the generous Andaman girl made it again in October 2020 at the age of 11 years, when she could donate her 14 inches long hair.
Betty, a student of Carmel Sr. Sec. School is the daughter of Mr. Biju Jacob and Mrs. Swapna Jacob, who had inspired her about the good deeds that can be done by donating one’s hair to the needy.
