Body of missing woman found in Suspicious Circumstance; Murder case registered by Police

Port Blair, Jan 06: Body of a missing woman of Calicut region was found this morning near her house by her relatives, in suspicious circumstances.
The victim (name withheld) was reportedly missing since yesterday afternoon.
The cause of death and circumstances which led to this death, are still not clear. The body has been shifted to G B Pant Hospital, it is learnt.
Sources reported that there were swelling on the face of the victim, but police officials mentioned that nothing can be said before a Post Mortem Report.
However a case of murder under section 302 has been registered at PS Pahargaon and police team has begun investigation.
As per villagers the victim, 26 years and her husband were private workers.
Meanwhile the President of A & N Catholic Association, Mr. Sanjay Meshak has condoled the death of the lady and urged the police department to solve this case as early as possible. “I have full faith on Andaman and Nicobar Police and I am sure that the complete truth behind this death, will come out soon,” said Mr. Sanjay Meshak.
