Port Blair, Jan 06: Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands is on an official visit to Diglipur along with Mr. M Vinod, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Fulmani Thomas, State Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Mr. Uday Shankar Singh, State Media Convener, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
On 5th of January 2020 the delegation visited Shibpur Airport at Diglipur and inspected the ongoing extension work of the Airport. They also met Commander Rajkumar who is the In-charge of the extension work of the airport and enquired about various aspects of the extension work.
Their discussion revolved around the major concern of the local villagers about the compensation in lieu of the land that would be procured for the extension of the Airport and other issues. The visiting delegation is due to return to Port Blair on 7th of January 2020.
