Port Blair, Dec 17: In view of the increase in arrival of tourists in the islands and subsequent increase in demand for Government ferry tickets for Swaraj Dweep and Shaheed Dweep, DC South Andaman Mr. Suneel Anchipaka convened a meeting of all tour operators associations on 17 Dec 20. After giving a patient hearing to the concerns of the tour operators he immediately took the decision to sail an extra vessel for Swaraj Dweep Island from 19 December onwards.
Mr. M.Vinod, President AATO has expressed gratitude to DC South Andaman Mr.Suneel Anchipaka for his prompt decision to increase government ferries for Shaheed & Swaraj Dweep to cater to the increasing demand of ferry tickets during the peak tourist season.
