Port Blair, Dec 07: Indian Coast Guard is celebrating the “Swachhta Pakhwada’’ between 01 -15 Dec throughout the Isles, spreading the GOI flagship programme “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Indian Coast Guard is conducting various special cleanship drives aiming to spread awareness and implementation across the Coast Guard establishments in A & N Region, residential areas and beaches with a focus on cleanliness and creation of a clean and healthy habitat, free of single use plastics. The possible areas towards “Swachhta Abhiyan” includes beaches, cleaning of in and around areas of Coast Guard establishments/residential area.
On 06 Dec 20, Indian Coast Guard Personnel undertook special cleanship drive in their respective office premises, Tatrakshak Vihar (Coast Guard residential area) and Coast Guard Jetty. During the ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’, all precautions towards COVID-19 were followed. Indian Coast Guard is committed to make its office premises, residential and surrounding areas neat, clean and free from single use plastic. A communique received from Coast Guard PRO.
