Port Blair, Oct 29: The Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India conferred the Jeevan Raksha Padak-2019 to Mr. M. Samayamuthu, Assistant Sub-Inspector of A&N Police in recognition of excellent and brave life saving act done by him on 22.12.2018 as he saved a life of a drowning person Mr. Subham Biswas from the sea near Aberdeen Jetty, Port Blair.
The cheque for an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- received from Ministry of Home Affairs, GoI has been handed over to the awardee.
