Port Blair, Oct 28: The Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank Ltd. Organises Cyber Security awareness camp at Bambooflat on 28th October, 2020 at Shore Point, South Andaman.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Abdul Aziz, In-charge, Cyber Crime Security, A& N Police. The programme was also attended by senior staffs of Banks and a gathering of local residents of the area and customer of the Bank.
Welcoming the delegates Mr. Rajan Kunju, DGM, A&NStCB has informed that the Bank always create awareness among their customer regarding cyber crime security.
Mr. Abhinav Paul, AGM (IT) has informed that the during Covid-19 scenario most of the people are using online Banking transaction and the students are also studying through online. While the A&N Administration has launched the High internet connectivity in the A&N Islands then we have to be more careful while using internet banking and we should not share our card Number, CVV and OTP of the ATM Cards. He informed that the Bank never call to the customer to ask their OTP and other Banking details. We have to be more vigilant while swapping our ATM to the POS machines etc.
Mr. Abdul Aziz, Cyber Cell Security, A& N Police has informed that the police flag Day is celebrated for the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. The Police flag Day is celebrated across the nation in memory of the police personal who have lost their lives while discharging their duties. He further informed that the Cyber crime is growing now a day. We have to more caution while using ATM card and social networking sites like wattsup and facebook while using. The Govt. Of India has introduced a toll free sos no.112 for all emergency purpose.
Mr. Senthil Kumar, Cyber Cell Security, A& N Police has informed that we have to be aware and alert about the social networking sites without knowing do not share your profile picture and phone numbers to the unknown peoples.
