Port Blair, July 15: Together with the rest of the country Nationwide protest of National Student’s Union of India, the State Unit of NSUI organised a dharna in front of Gandhi statue, Port Blair on 15th July, 2020 at 10 AM. The dharna was also attended by Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC along with the students of various colleges.
The main purpose of the dharna was to oppose the decision taken by University Grant Commission to conduct examination for the students of the final year. As we are aware of the fact the ongoing Covid crisis and lockdown has created unexplained hardship to the students both in school and college levels.
Through dharna the NSUI has put forward two main demands in front of University Grant Commission to cancel the final year examination and secondly to waive of the fee of the students for six months.
