Port Blair, July 02: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Secretary (APWD), A&N Administration for repair of rural road from Dundas Point jetty to Namunaghar junction which is in deplorable condition with big pothole and fully damaged. As a result of which, the general public specifically oldage persons, children and patients face lot of problems and also the Jeep owners who carry passengers face lot of hardship.
This rural road is only the main connectivity for the movement of people to their respective villagers. Hence, the MP requested the Secretary, APWD to consider for repair of the said road at the earliest. Besides this, the MP also requested the APWD authorities to consider for supply of water to the resident of Namunaghar in alternative days since the water from Dam No.2 & 3 at Namunaghar is overflowing as of now.
