Port Blair, June 12: The ship MV Swarajdweep has finally reached Haddo Port of Port Blair today from Kolkata with 193 passengers. As per reports, the samples of all the 193 passengers have been collected for Corona testing.
However, the samples of the ship staffs have not been collected yet for reasons unknown but reliable sources in the Health Service Department have said that tomorrow the samples of the ship staffs will be collected.
“Until now there is an eye on the ship staffs and they are not even allowed to even come near the gangway,” said the source of the Health Department.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abhijit Roy, Nodal Officer, COVID-19, Andaman, and Nicobar has told media persons that the samples collected for the passengers reached here on 08th June 2020 from Vizag in ship MV Nancowry are negative, which has brought a big relief for the islanders.
