Port Blair, June 11: A Sub-Inspector attached to Katchal Police Unit hanged himself to death in the unused space of the PS Central Crime Station around 02-03 days back.
Through the odor of the body, the staffs reached till the suicide spot this morning.
As per sources, Sub-Inspector Jurambha who came to Port Blair from Katchal on 28th May 2020 for some official tasks was in tremendous stress for various reasons. Sources said that he had some inquiries against him as well, which could be one of the reasons, the SI took this extreme step.
The dead body of the SI was shifted to the GB Pant Hospital this morning itself by the staffs of the Aberdeen Police Unit and a case of unnatural death has been registered in this regard at the Aberdeen Police Unit. The SI has not left any note behind before taking this extreme step, it is learned.
