Port Blair, June 10: On 10th June, 2020 at about 10 AM, a workshop-cum-training & awareness programme on Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan was organized by the state unit of BJP (A & N Islands) at Chouldari Workshed Hall, Near Panchayat Hall, South Andaman District.
Under the guidance of State President Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, the Incharge as well as Co-Incharge of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan Smti. Sheela Singh, Mr. K. Ram Das with the active logistical support of Mr. Mohan Halder, Pradhan, Chouldari Gram Panchayat respectively had arranged the programme to share their respective inputs/views with regard to the recently announced Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan. The following leaders presented their views on the different sectors:-
1. Mr. Ajoy Bairagi – State President, A & N Islands on Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan.
2. Vishal Jolly, Former State President, A & N Islands on how to bring in awareness upto the lowest level.
3. Smti. Sheela Singh, Vice President, BJP A & N Islands briefed on overall Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan.
4. Mr. Sanjay Singh, Vice President, BJP A & N Islands spoke on the Lead Bank/State Bank of India.
5. Mr. K. Ram Das, State General Secretary, BJP, A & N Islands spoke about the Industries and also gave Vote of thanks.
6. Mr. Mohan Halder, State Secretary, BJP –A & N Islands spoke on Agriculture Sector.
7. Mr. Uday Shankar Singh, BJP A & N Islands – on NABARD Bank.
8. Mr. Jijith Rekh spoke on Fisheries & Animal Husbandry sector.
9. Mr. Pawan Kumar, BJP Worker spoke on MSME sector.
Around 20 Elected Representatives such as Pradhans , Zilla, Samiti, and District office bearers and other BJP office bearers and Karyakartas participated in the workshop and they were informed about vital aspects of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan and its features & relevance in so far as the A & N Islands are concerned.
Several identical/similar programmes would be organized at every District, Panchayat, Wards, Mandal and Booth levels in order to ensure maximum reach to the public at large & its proper utilization.
The programme was having interactive session. Considering the prevailing pandemic situation, large gathering could not be arranged. However, the programme was arranged by strictly following all the norms, guidelines and protocols of COVID-19, as directed by the Govt. of India and the A & N Administration.
