Port Blair, Sept 18: The Greeno Eco Club of Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Sabari, Middle Andaman observed International Day for prevention of Ozone layer with the theme “protecting our atmosphere for generations to come”. Highlighting the importance of the day, the Principal of the school, appreciated the efforts of the club in creating environmental awareness among the students and the community. He also released the pamphlet and special wall magazine on ozone day developed the club.
The Eco Club Incharge, Mr Bency Joy spoke on the importance of the day and appealed to the students for following the tips included in the specially designed pamphlet created by the school eco club. Green cadets displayed the specially created pamphlet at prominent places of Rangat and nearby villages.
In drawing competition S Kausalya,VIIA, B Priya VIIA and Santpal Ram VIII A bagged the first three positions. In slogan writing competition, Rohit kumar Sil, X A was adjudged the winner. Articles displayed by M S Manjusha XI, Altaf Hussain XI and Varsha Lakra XI bagged the first three positions.
