Port Blair, Apr 23: Mr. Tarun Singh, the State General Secretary of Kesariya Hindu Vahini has requested the Lt. Governor of A & N Islands to conduct COVID 19 test for front-line workers.
In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor he said that the Delhi government is conducting COVID-19 testing for media persons, after 53 scribes tested positive for the novel corona virus in Mumbai.
“It is request you to kindly organize the COVID-19 test for front-line workers like doctors, medical staff, police personnel or the sanitation staff, media persons, NGO and others govt employees, moreover the employee performing departmental duties as well as serving the social cause in the COVID-19 crisis times. And to kindly announce compensations of Rs 10,000,00 for all employees who succumb to the corona virus while on duty,” Mr. Singh added.
