Port Blair, Apr 19: A&N police is doing an exceptional job during adverse conditions. When corona scare is increasing, the hot and humid climate is making the life of policemen on-duty miserable. Checking the validity of the pass of all those passing through the check-posts is a herculean task.
It has come to notice that all vehicles pasted with a photocopy of Movement permit pass through the check-post without scrutiny. It is reliably learnt that some are doing mischief by using the pass of others to roam around.
Considering the seriousness of the issue, police personnel should check the authenticity of the pass and the person traveling in it to ensure no one misuses the freedom of movement given to them.
Even though it may not be an easy task, the police can only help in containment of this disease from spreading due to the ignorance of some irresponsible people.
