Port Blair, Mar 08: The Directorate of Health Services has issued advisory for public regarding use of Mask and asked people to refrain from use of masks on routine basis.
“Use mask only when they are not feeling well or having cough, fever or difficulty in breathing. Prolonged and unnecessary use of mask may lead to aggravation of underlying respiratory conditions,” a release issued by Dr.Avijit Roy, Nodal Officer COVID19, DHS said here today.
The advisory asked people to follow coughing and sneezing etiquette, hand washing or hand rubbing with sanitizer intermittently and keeping one hand distance from each other.
“Avoid touching your own face. Visit crowded places only if necessary. Protect yourself to protect your community from COVID19,” the release added.
