Port Blair, Feb 28: A cultural exchange programme under “Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat Scheme” will be organized by Kala Kendra under Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration from 2nd March to 4th March 2020 at Port Blair with the partner UT of Lakshadweep to promote the spirit of National Integration through exchange of Rich Heritage, Culture, Customs and Tradition of other States.
“Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat programme is providing better platform of mingling societies/cultures of different states. The artistes from Lakshadweep will showcase traditional customs by presenting folk music & dance with their traditional attire & instruments.
During their stay at Port Blair, cultural exchange programmes will be organized for school and college students as well as cultural organizations.
In this regard, artistes/students and youth of A&N Islands are invited to participate in the cultural exchange programme by showcasing songs and dance based on Andaman on 2nd March 2020 at 5 pm in the Andaman Club.
